01 · Where operational complexity drives the engineering need

Operations is the platform.

Some businesses do not need 'just a better website'. They need the system their team uses every day: dashboards, workflows, approvals, owner visibility, reporting, integrations, mobile field tools, and structured internal data. We build internal platforms for operators whose business has outgrown Notion, Airtable, Google Sheets, WhatsApp groups, disconnected SaaS tools, or a custom tool that no one can maintain anymore. This hub is horizontal. It overlaps with hospitality, real estate, lifestyle, and service businesses whenever the main problem is operational complexity.

Five operator segments we work with

01 · SEGMENT

Multi-property operators

Villa managers · owner dashboards · RevPAR visibility

For villa management companies and property operators managing multiple assets. We build owner portals, operator dashboards, maintenance tracking, booking visibility, monthly statements, RevPAR reporting, and tool integrations.

02 · SEGMENT

Multi-location service businesses

Restaurants · clinics · studios · coworking · retail

For brands with several locations and disconnected tools. We build shared customer data, group reporting, location-specific operations, dashboards, and internal workflows.

03 · SEGMENT

Operations-heavy service businesses

Tours · surf schools · dive shops · events · transport

For businesses with complex daily logistics, equipment, bookings, staff coordination, certifications, routes, or project workflows. We build internal systems that match the real operating model instead of forcing generic SaaS.

04 · SEGMENT

Internal corporate operations

HR · finance · admin · approvals

For teams that need structured internal workflows: onboarding, approvals, document management, finance reporting, employee processes, SOPs, and internal communication.

05 · SEGMENT

Backend and integration work

APIs · automation · system unification

For businesses using 5–8 tools that do not talk to each other. We build the backend layer, API integrations, webhooks, data sync, and reporting structure that connects the stack.

02 · Scenarios that bring operators to us

Typical problems we solve.

01 · Manual owner reporting

Owner reporting is still manual

You manage villas or assets, but owner reporting still happens through Notion, spreadsheets, screenshots, and monthly manual updates. We build real-time owner dashboards with bookings, occupancy, revenue, maintenance status, payout logic, and document access.

Multi-property operator platform
02 · Tool silos

Your tools do not talk to each other

You use Cloudbeds, Guesty, Breezeway, PriceLabs, AirDNA, Mailchimp, Xero, WhatsApp, or similar tools — but the data is fragmented. We build the unification layer so your team gets one operational view without replacing every tool.

Tool unification platform
03 · No-code limit reached

Notion, Airtable, and Sheets have reached the limit

The business has too many records, users, permissions, workflows, and reports for no-code tools. We replace the sprawl with a structured internal platform: real roles, real data model, real reporting, and real audit trail.

Internal operations platform
04 · Fragile freelancer build

A freelancer-built tool keeps breaking

A custom tool was built quickly, worked for a while, and now breaks every few months. The developer is gone, the code is fragile, and adding features is risky. We assess, rescue, rebuild, document, and stabilize the platform.

Internal platform rescue
05 · Per-location stack

Each location runs a different stack

You have multiple restaurants, studios, clinics, or service locations — each with different tools, reporting, and processes. We build the operational backbone across locations while keeping local flexibility.

Multi-location operations platform
06 · No-fit SaaS

No SaaS fits the workflow

Some workflows are too specific for generic SaaS: unusual permissions, multi-step approvals, partner access, compliance requirements, or custom reporting. We build the backend and admin platform around the actual workflow.

Custom backend platform
07 · Scaling team

The team is scaling

When the team grows, casual tools start breaking: permissions get messy, reporting becomes manual, data is duplicated, and accountability disappears. We build platforms designed for more users, more records, more locations, and more operational load.

Scale-ready operations platform

04 · Where we fit in your existing stack

We do not replace every SaaS tool.

Specialized tools can stay. Cloudbeds, Guesty, Breezeway, PriceLabs, AirDNA, Mailchimp, Xero, WhatsApp, Slack, and similar tools often do their own job well. The problem is the layer above them: unified data, owner visibility, internal workflows, reporting, permissions, and real-time operations. That is what we build.

05 · Architecture principles

How we build operational platforms.

01

Operations are structured data

Notion is good for notes. Operations are different. Bookings, properties, tasks, owners, approvals, documents, payouts, and reports need structure, permissions, audit history, and reliable workflows.

02

Stakeholder visibility is a competitive advantage

Owners, investors, managers, partners, and executives increasingly expect real-time visibility. Dashboards and portals reduce manual reporting and make the business feel more professional.

03

Integration layer, not SaaS replacement

We do not rebuild tools like Cloudbeds, Guesty, Breezeway, PriceLabs, Xero, or Mailchimp. We connect them and build the operational layer they do not provide.

04

Scale-ready from the start

A tool built for 5 users often breaks at 50. We design platforms with proper database structure, authentication, permissions, backups, performance, and handover documentation.

05

Mobile-first for field teams

Operations do not only happen at desks. Housekeeping, maintenance, drivers, on-site staff, inspectors, and field teams need mobile-first interfaces that actually work on phones.

06 · Why H-Studio

Why operators work with us.

01

We build operations, not brochure sites

Operational platforms require backend architecture, permissions, workflows, integrations, dashboards, and data models. That is a different skill set from building a marketing website.

02

Bali-native and international

We work from Bali and understand the operational reality of local teams, international owners, APAC guests, Indonesian payment providers, and multi-market operators.

03

Real operator-grade experience

Our work includes PropTech, facility management, SaaS marketplaces, workflow platforms, dashboards, and internal tools. The same patterns apply here: roles, records, approvals, reporting, integrations, audit trails, and mobile field workflows.

04

Senior team only

You work with the same senior team from System Mapping through build and support. No junior rotation. No handover chaos.

05

Code stays yours

We build with standard technologies. Your code lives in your GitHub. Your documentation stays in your tools. No proprietary lock-in.

06

We know the fragile-tool problem

A common pattern we see: a quick custom tool works for six months, then becomes hard to maintain once the business depends on it. We rebuild on a stable foundation with documentation, ownership, and a handover-ready architecture.

07

Honest about scope

We are not the right fit for SAP-grade ERP, massive enterprise programs, or single-user productivity tools. Our sweet spot is operations-heavy businesses with custom backend needs at roughly 5–200 users.

08 · Where we sit in the landscape

What kind of solution do you need?

Notion / Airtable / Sheets
Good for early operations, but weak when permissions, records, reporting, and scale become serious.
Specialized SaaS
Great for one function, but usually not enough to unify the operation.
Freelancer custom builds
Can work early, but often become fragile when the business grows or the developer disappears.
H-Studio operations layer
Custom backend, dashboards, portals, integrations, workflows, and handover-ready architecture.
Enterprise platforms
Powerful, but usually too heavy and expensive for the 5–200 user operator segment.

09 · FAQ
  1. 01

When do we outgrow Notion, Airtable, or Google Sheets?

When permissions become messy, reporting becomes manual, data is duplicated, the team loses trust in the numbers, or external stakeholders need reliable access.

  2. 02

Do you replace our existing SaaS tools?

Usually no. If a tool works well for its function, we keep it and build the integration or reporting layer around it.

  3. 03

How is this different from the hospitality or real estate hubs?

Those hubs focus on industry-specific buyer-facing and operator-facing platforms. This hub is for horizontal operational complexity: workflows, dashboards, integrations, internal tools, and backend systems.

  4. 04

Can you rescue a freelancer-built internal tool?

Yes. We can assess the existing code, decide what can be salvaged, rebuild what is too fragile, document the system, and prepare it for long-term maintenance.

  5. 05

    Can we phase the build?

Yes. Common phases are: dashboard first, owner portal second, integrations third, mobile field tools later.

  6. 06

Can you build mobile tools for field teams?

Yes. We can build mobile-first interfaces for housekeeping, maintenance, drivers, inspectors, staff, and on-site operations.

  7. 07

Can we hire our own developer after launch?

Yes. That is one reason we use standard technologies and keep documentation in your systems.

  8. 08

How many users can this support?

It depends on scope, architecture, and infrastructure, but we design for the next stage of growth rather than the current spreadsheet stage. For many clients, that means planning around 50–200 users, multi-property or multi-location data, and proper role-based access.
