Digital Platform for a Global Architecture Studio
Building an editorial-driven website and content architecture for an international design studio across luxury residences, boutique hospitality, and cultural projects.
Project Overview
FORMA Architecture Studio is an international design practice. The studio works across residential architecture, boutique hospitality, cultural buildings, and urban planning projects.
With more than 127 projects across 23 countries, the studio required a digital platform capable of presenting its portfolio, communicating its design philosophy, and attracting international clients - from private villa owners to hospitality developers.
The goal of the project was to design and build a high-performance editorial website and structured content architecture that could support long-term growth, international positioning, and organic discovery.

The Challenge
The studio's previous digital presence did not reflect the scale or positioning of the practice.
Fragmented portfolio structure
Projects were difficult to navigate and lacked contextual storytelling.
No editorial content architecture
The studio produced insights and research but had no structured platform for articles, essays, and guides.
Limited SEO visibility
The site was not optimized for topics such as luxury villas, hospitality architecture, or tropical architecture.
International audience
The platform needed to support a global audience and communicate credibility at an international level.

The Solution
We designed and built a structured digital platform combining portfolio presentation, editorial storytelling, and search-optimized knowledge pages.
Portfolio Layer
Project pages showcasing completed architecture across multiple regions and typologies.
Editorial Layer
A journal publishing essays, field notes, and studio insights.
Expertise Layer
SEO-driven pages focused on key areas such as luxury villas, hospitality architecture, and tropical design.

Platform Architecture
The website was built using Next.js with TypeScript, enabling a modular component architecture and optimized performance.
- Component-based UI architecture
- Centralized design tokens system
- Dynamic content routing for articles and projects
- Scalable SEO page structure
- Performance-optimized media loading
The platform includes 20 structured routes, combining portfolio navigation, editorial publishing, and specialized landing pages.

Information Architecture
The site structure was designed to support both discovery and storytelling.

Design Approach
The design direction followed a Dark Editorial Luxury aesthetic.
- Large editorial typography
- Minimal grid layouts
- Dark hero sections combined with light content surfaces
- Subtle motion and parallax effects
- Restrained color accents
Typography uses Space Grotesk for headlines and Figtree for body text. Accent color #10B981 introduces subtle contrast within a predominantly neutral palette.

UX Decisions
Adaptive navigation
Navigation detects dark hero sections and adapts styling for readability.
Editorial reading flow
Articles include sticky tables of contents and reading progress indicators for long-form content.
Portfolio exploration
Project grids allow browsing architecture by region, typology, and year.
